June 28, 2024: On June 26, 2024, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) announced the cancellation of land allotments to Sunworld Infrastructure and Supertech Township near the upcoming Noida International Airport and proposed Film City due to unpaid dues. This decision was made during Yeida’s 81st board meeting, chaired by Yeida chairman Anil Kumar Sagar, at its Greater Noida office.

Approximately 100 acres of land were allotted to these developers for townships in Sector 22D along the Yamuna Expressway. According to Yeida, Sunworld Infrastructure owes Rs 164.86 crore, while Supertech Township owes Rs 137.28 crore. These amounts represent 25% of the total dues owed by these builders, who had been allowed to continue their projects following recommendations from the Amitabh Kant Committee on stalled projects.

Greenbay Infrastructure has already deposited Rs 92 crore and has until July 31, 2024, to pay the remaining Rs 7 crore. ATS Realty has deposited Rs 5 crore and has until August 31 to clear the rest of its dues.

Other developers have also made payments within the given timeframes. Omnis Developers deposited Rs 9.54 crore, Logix Buildstate cleared Rs 62 crore in dues, and Ajay Realcon and Starcity Developers cleared Rs 2.12 crore and Rs 3.38 crore, respectively.
