June 3, 2024: Survey Reveals 50% of Yeida Allotted Plots Await Registration

A recent survey by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) found that about 50% of the plots allotted across 13 sectors have yet to be registered. This information comes ahead of the Noida airport's expected inauguration this year, as reported by TOI.

The survey, conducted to assess the amenities required for the growing settlements, revealed that Yeida has over 33,000 plots across industrial, institutional, residential, and mixed-land use categories. The aim was to gather up-to-date information on each plot, including details about their allottees, to address any issues efficiently, according to an official cited in the media report.

Arun Vir Singh, CEO of Yeida, has instructed officials to conduct periodic reviews and update the database regularly. The survey showed that out of the 33,499 plots offered along the Yamuna Expressway, 30,358 have been allotted. However, only 15,368 plots have been registered so far, and lease plans for 17,555 plots are still pending. Additionally, 359 plots are entangled in legal disputes.

Among the 13 sectors, five are residential (sectors 16, 17, 18, 20, and 22D), comprising 30,034 plots. Of these, 27,393 have been allotted and 13,280 registered. Sectors 17A and 22E are designated for institutional development, with 130 of 170 plots allotted and 85 registered. The four industrial sectors (28, 29, 32, and 33) have 3,341 plots, with 2,994 allotted and 1,995 registered. Sectors 24 and 24A are for mixed-land use, with 41 plots in total, of which 8 have been allotted and registered.

The survey also highlighted the status of civic amenities: 15,541 plots have completed basic amenities, work is underway on 8,077 plots, and there are challenges in setting up facilities on 9,523 plots. Yeida aims to complete the work on these plots by September 30.
