January 12, 2024: The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has granted approval for Phase-2 of the Lucknow Metro, also recognized as the east-west corridor. Estimated to cost Rs 5,881 crore, this phase is set to be developed.
The Char Bagh Station, serving as the junction station for the existing north-south corridor and the upcoming east-west corridor of the Lucknow Metro, connects the city's main railway station through the metro link. Phase-2 is expected to enhance connectivity and contribute to the rise in real estate prices by providing accessibility to some of the most densely populated areas in the old city.
