The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has successfully garnered four bids for the International Film City project located near Noida in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Among the bidders are notable entities like Super Cassettes Industries (owner of T-Series), Supersonic Technobuild (Maddock Films, Cape of Good Films LLP, and others), Bayview Projects LLP (backed by filmmaker Boney Kapoor), and 4 Lions Films (supported by filmmaker KC Bokadia).

This marks the third attempt to secure bids for the film city’s development, following two previous unsuccessful endeavours to attract investors. A brainchild of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the Film City is envisioned as a sprawling international project spanning over 1,000 acre (with an initial phase covering 230 acre) along the Yamuna Expressway near Noida.

The submitted bids will undergo a comprehensive technical evaluation at the authority level. Subsequently, the financial bids will be disclosed in adherence to the established regulations. The deadline for submitting bids for the International Film City project, spanning 230 acres in Sector 21 of the Yamuna Authority region, was set at 3 PM on January 5, 2024. The technical bids were officially revealed in the conference room of the Authority office. Yeida initially issued the bid for the establishment of the International Film City project on September 30, 2023.
