UP RERA directs promoters to publish QR code in all brochures, ads

UP RERA Introduces Unique QR Codes for New Real Estate Projects

On July 18: the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) announced that each new project registered with them will be assigned a unique QR code. Promoters are required to include this QR code in their brochures and advertisements.

Enhanced Transparency for Home Buyers

This initiative aims to aid home buyers who previously had to rely solely on the information provided in promotional materials. With the QR code, potential investors can scan the code in any advertisement and instantly access comprehensive details about the project on the UP RERA portal.

In an official statement, UP RERA also mandated that promoters must include the project QR code in all documents shared with buyers, such as booking forms, allotment letters, and builder-buyer agreements.

Benefits of QR Codes for Home Buyers

By scanning the project's QR code, homebuyers will be directed to the UP RERA registration page, where they can find crucial information including:

  • Land documents
  • Approved layouts
  • Project amenities
  • Start date and expected completion date
  • Quarterly progress reports
  • Occupancy Certificate (OC)
  • Completion Certificate (CC)
  • No Objection Certificates (NOCs)

This measure ensures that homebuyers have easy access to verified project details, promoting transparency and informed decision-making in the real estate market.
