On January 22, the first decision PM Modi took after returning from Ayodhya is to launch the "Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana" that targets to install rooftop solar system on 1 Crore houses.
The aim of this scheme is not only to reduce the electricity cost of the poor and the middle class but also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.
Prime Minister Modi on his official X handle (formerly known as Twitter) posted, "All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram." He further added that, "Ram is not fire but energy, Ram is not dispute but solution, Ram is not merely ours but of everyone and Ram is not only the present but also eternal," hence signifying that the temple is a symbol of peace, patience, harmony and amity in Indian society.
The Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana is positioned to be a pivotal player in the progression of India's solar energy sector, aligning with the overarching goal of fostering sustainability and autonomy in the energy industry.
