Currently, every single node, whether old or new, being established in Navi Mumbai is being strategically developed to offer advanced social and physical infrastructure to the residents. Therefore, the Navi Mumbai Metro was planned to have five lines, spanning a total length of 106.4 kilometers. The Navi Mumbai Metro is crucial for the smart city's transportation requirements and will also drive the city's economic development.

Navi Mumbai Metro: Impact on real estate

The Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1 goes through all of Kharghar before reaching Pendhar. Due to this, it links different areas within Kharghar and also provides a connection between Kharghar and Pendhar, which was previously only accessible through NMMT buses, autos, and Eco share taxis, the latter options being costly. Due to the enhanced connectivity, the property value in the Kharghar residential market has begun to increase. Moreover, the location features extensive plots of land that are under development by well-known developers.
