Property News | Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced the creation of a new industrial zone in Jammu and Kashmir, Udhampur, to attract investors.

About 1,000 acres of land have been identified in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir to establish a new industrial zone, according to the union’s state minister at Prime Minister Jitendra Singh’s office on January 19, 2020. He said this would attract investors Udhampur was strengthened as an industrial center. “This, in turn, will create jobs for local youth,” he said, adding that the decision came at the right time because the World Investors Summit was scheduled in Jammu and Srinagar in April 2020. He added that demand for a new bus station in Udhampur was accepted, and the land completion process was underway.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the massive land invasion by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA), due to the failure of its executive wing, Lt. Girish Chandra Murmu , on January 17, 2020, ordered the organization’s vice-president to dismiss officials who had not performed their duties or somehow conspired with the invaders .

Since 1973, the J&K government has transferred 9,479 acres of land  for development purposes, of which 6,818 acres of land have not been demarcated, the authorities said. The mass repression against the invaders was carried out according to the instructions of the Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court in 2019.

A new railway connects Kashmir with the rest of India in December 2021

Kashmir will communicate with the rest of India via the rail network by December 2021, as the government sets a new deadline to complete the world’s highest railway bridge. The railway is expected to be 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower. The bridge forms a crucial link along 111 km between Katra and Benihal, and is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project.

It is the most challenging task in the history of the 150-year-old railroad. Sanjay Gupta, head of Konkan Railways, said that the world’s highest railway bridge, which connects Kashmir to the rest of the country via the railway, will be completed in December 2021. Gupta said, “Building the bridge is the most challenging part of the Kashmir railway project that has been completed.” Its implementation after independence and after the completion of construction will be an engineering marvel. “

He added that the huge arch-shaped structure, built on hostile territory, would use more than 5,562 tons of steel, and would be 359 meters high over the riverbed. The 1,315 km “engineering marvel” designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 260 km per hour is designed to connect with Kal (Katra) and Kore (Srinagar). Once completed, the record of the Pipan Shuibai River Railway Bridge will surpass (275 m) in China. Gupta said that the Udhampur-Srinagar-Paramulla railway project is absolutely necessary, to provide a reliable and alternative transportation system to Jammu and Kashmir, to connect the Kashmir valley to the Indian rail network.
