In New Delhi, the Delhi Development Authority's latest scheme has accomplished a notable achievement. Flats in Dwarka, Sector 14, designated for the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and LIG (Low-Income Group) categories, were completely sold out on the initial day of bookings.
Additionally, on December 11, approximately 1,500 flats in Dwarka, Lok Nayak Puram, and Narela were reserved. Under the FCFS (First-Come-First-Serve) scheme, 1,100 EWS and approximately 400 LIG flats were registered on the first day of bookings. The overall number of registrations stands at around 12,500.
As part of the special housing scheme, there are over 30,000 newly constructed flats available for purchase. Interested homebuyers have the opportunity to acquire penthouses, super HIGs, MIGs, LIGs, and EWS flats. The registration for the scheme, which operates on a first-come, first-serve (FCFS) basis, commenced on November 24. Bookings began on December 11 and will remain open until March 31, 2024.
Another avenue for homebuyers to acquire property is through e-auctions. The registration and payment process for this option started on November 30.
