CREDAI Partners with NSDC & QCI to Enhance Skill Development in Real Estate


The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) has taken a monumental step to encourage the construction and real estate sector's workforce. On April 18, 2025, CREDAI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Quality Council of India (QCI). The aim of the collaboration is to create a framework for skill training, capacity building and certification of workers, to enhance the quality and productivity in the sector.

The partnership aims to provide a structured framework for workforce development in the real estate sector, working among other important elements, on skills training, sustainable employment, and capacity building. The key objectives in the partnership's MoU are:

2. Capacity Building Projects: These projects will contribute to increasing workers' effectiveness and adaptability to contemporary construction practices.

3. Workers Accreditation: Quality assurance will be provided through accredited skills that improve employability.

4. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Existing skills will be assessed for viability and accreditation, empowering workers with validation and skills that satisfy industry standards.

5. Sustainability: Green building methods and contemporary methodologies will be promoted.

Shekhar G. Patel, CREDAI's newly elected president for the 2025-2027 term, said workfoce development is a key strategy. While speaking, he referred to the drive to develop workforce skills and said:
